Lights Out (2016)

Well it didn’t knock my lights out as far as horror films go… but it had some good scares for a PG-13 flick. I thought that the creature of the film was really interesting, operating only in darkness. I liked the look of the enemy and how it moved, or should I say teleported around. The acting from Teresa palmer and Alexander DiPersia was pretty suspect. I liked their acting in the dark parts the best (when I couldn’t see them). Gabriel Bateman was a cute kid and did okay for a child actor. I always love Maria Bello, although, she was pretty crazy in this one (for good reason). I wouldn’t say this film made me scared of the dark, but I might use my cell phone more when I walk to the bathroom at night.

74/100
