At least it wasn’t like walking over glass. This movie sequel took a long time to come around, 6 years after the last movie. I loved some parts of this film and others I found to be pretty strange. The most unbelievable thing was the time period and Alice’s job. She’s like a military-style boat Captain that goes sailing on adventures. She has an entire crew of men but this film is set in the 1800’s… now, I’m trying not to be sexist here but I find it hard to believe Alice would be heard by a crew of all men, stuck on a boat all those months/years and be able to get them to do anything during that time period. Okay, so other than that little mishap, I think the movie was pretty cool. It had some neat time-travel stuff in it. Sacha Baron Cohen stole the show as “Time”. I really hated Johnny Depp in this though, he’s just too weird for me and he chose to have an awful lisp as this character and you can barely understand him. News flash Depp, actors need good diction! All the old characters come back, but I hope this series doesn’t. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll always take a new Mia Wasikowska movie (even a bad one) but I think this series should EAT ME.
