I’ve overheard better conversations. I do think that the acting and sound editing were really good in this movie. It came out the same year as the Godfather – Part II, so it didn’t have much of a chance of winning best picture. I did like how paranoid Gene Hackman was in the film. Harrison Ford was an interesting mean guy, not exactly sure if I can call him bad. The idea of listening in on people was probably scarier back in the 70’s, today it seems like everyone just figures they are probably being listened to… it’s sadly a normal part of life. John Cazale apparently ruled the 70’s. I think I’ve seen like 5 movies from him already. I wish there would have been a bit more Robert Duvall, but his part was pretty important.
