Mama mia! This movie was also really good, and I may be unpopular with this opinion, but the sequel wasn’t as good as the original. I did love that they went back in time and gave us a glimpse of the Godfather in the past. De Niro was excellent as Don Vito. Al Pacino and Diane Keaton had some powerful scenes together. I finally recognized Robert Duvall in this movie (he needed to lose his hair to be recognizable). I like all the filming and the story, but something felt missing in this sequel. I can’t put my finger on it, but unlike the last film, this one felt longer and I kept checking the time to see when it was over. It was just less enjoyable. I also thought John Cazale stepped out and did a fantastic job in this movie. Both Godfather film’s are excellent but I think the first will always be the Don of the two.
