Taxi Driver (1976)

Love can drive you to do crazy things… like drive a taxi. Robert DeNiro was really great in this film. He can go from charming to psycho in just a few blocks in his cab. You will go from loving this character to wondering if he’s going to kill the entire city. I love the soundtrack of the film, with this smokey jazz tune. Cybill Shepherd is absolutely gorgeous. Jodie Foster plays a pretty controversial role in this movie as a young prostitute. I was also happy to see Peter Boyle and Harvey Keitel. The movie hardly feels slow and you just want to see what Travis (DeNiro) does next. A very gritty movie by Scorsese that shows how New York can be a dangerous place. Not your typical fare.

92/100
