Well at least we weren’t totally mocked in this film like we were in the last one. The final part of the Hunger Games series ends with a bow (that shoots arrows). I did really like how it ended, except for the Epilogue (a la Harry Potter). The rest of the movie is okay and drags at times, but it’s fine. I loved the part in the Capitol with the traps. It felt like it finally came full circle with the whole Hunger Games feel, which the last movie was missing completely. I really don’t think Katniss is the most compelling character and Josh Hutcherson as an actor and character isn’t either. Jena Malone was great as she plays crazy pretty well. Julianne Moore and Donald Sutherland also played off each other well too. This movie made me miss Philip Seymour Hoffman once again. Stanly Tucci and Elizabeth Banks were highly underused. Shame on you again Francis Lawrence! Oh well, the series is over, I guess we have some Maze Runners and Immortal Instruments to look forward to, right?
