Room (2015)

There’s always room in my day for a movie that pulls on your heartstrings. This was one of those movies. A beautiful story about a mother and son who only have each other to get through a horrible predicament. They are locked in a room by a kidnapper. That’s not the whole story though, and hopefully like me, you’ll be surprised about in the middle of the film when everything changes. The second half of the film was strange for me, but it was still good. I just kept thinking something else sinister might happen. The boy in this who played as the character Jack, did a really great job. Brie Larson shows that she can out-act just about any women in Hollywood. Eat your heart out Jennifer Lawrence. Make this a nice Sunday surprise and pop this movie in. It’s really quite good.

88/100

  1. Pretty much agree! Though that second half was definitely not as good for me as the first half. The first half was amazing, second half only good. Brie Larson killed it.

I’m liking this blog πŸ™‚ If you’re interested, I’m trying to start up a movie blog myself, at https://cookiesandopinions.wordpress.com/. Longer reviews <1000 words with a pastry rating scale of awesome πŸ™‚ just reviewed Civil War.

    • Thanks! Yeah, that second part was just so different from the first. It did lose a lot of the epic tension of the first part. I love Brie Larson, I can’t wait to see more of her work. Thanks for the compliment on my blog! I’ll be checking out yours right now. πŸ™‚
