I wouldn’t call this a sleeper hit, but I stayed awake during it just fine. I wouldn’t call myself a Woody Allen fan. Most of the time I think my sense of humor just doesn’t align with him. This movie was pretty good though, I liked the cheesy 70’s version of their future with robot butlers and orgasmatrons for lovemaking. Some of Allen’s acting ranged from stupid to brilliant. The biggest thing that drags this movie down was its overuse of slapstick comedy. A lot of Benny Hill moments that just weren’t funny. Also, Diane Keaton, even though she is pretty was pretty grating in this film. It’s definitely not his worst film, but not his best either. I’ll just have to sleep on it.
