Ant-Man (2015)

While Ant-Man may not be king of the hill, it wasn’t a movie that just droned on either. It had some really big moments and some small ones too, and I don’t just mean the parts where he puts on the Ant-Suit. One of my favorite parts of the film was his interaction with the Avengers and also just the general witty nature of the movie. It felt more comedic like Guardians of the Galaxy, as compared to the dark and dreary boringness of Thor 2. I did find the role of Michael Pena to be a little weird as he did seem very stereotyped, and it didn’t make him look very good… being sort of a thug and all. Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly were both a little underwhelming in their respective roles, that I almost forgot they were in this movie. Still, despite a few problems, this movie took flight like a carpenter ant would and I found it really enjoyable. Sure, I’d pick Guardians of the Galaxy over this, but it’ll always beat a crummy movie like Thor 2.
