A Most Wanted Man (2014)

I mostly wanted a good ending and I didn’t get one. This movie made me miss Philip Seymour Hoffman. He did a great job as the burnt-out spy, just trying to make a difference in the war on terror. Of course, it doesn’t help he has to deal with people like Rachel McAdams, that make his spy craft much harder by defending the people he’s looking into. Willem Dafoe was also in this movie, but I’m not sure why he was. He didn’t really have much to do that a unknown actor could have done. I thought there were some good tense scenes, and I loved Hoffman’s crack team of agents… sadly, this movie ends on a real bummer and ends pretty abruptly. I wanted to know more, but I highly doubt we would see a sequel and of course due to Hoffman’s passing, it wouldn’t be the same without him. They were after the most wanted man. I just wanted the story to finish the most.

79/100
