Look Who’s Talking (1989)

Oh baby, this was a cute movie. Kirstie Alley may not win any mom of the year awards, but she tries her best in this romantic comedy involving talking babies. Bruce Willis does the voice of Mikey (the baby) and he does a great job. He really shows his silly side of acting, even though it’s all voice work. John Travolta is very endearing as the gruff cab driver/babysitter. Amy Heckerling from Clueless directs this and it really is pretty funny. I wouldn’t say this will be remembered as one of the best movies of the late 80’s, but it was popular enough to spawn two more sequels. I was glad it was entertaining enough to skip my nap-time.

75/100

  1. I honestly can’t remember this movie. I remember the sequel really well, Roseanne Barr is the voice of the little sister. Hard to forget that voice, especially coming from a baby!
