Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982)

You Khaaaaaaan’t beat this great film. This is my favorite Star Trek movie by far. The cast’s chemistry is back in full force after the debacle of the first original film. It has a great bad-guy named Kahn played by Ricardo Montalban. There is some good humor and some really endearing scenes. Especially towards the end I teared up a bit. Kirstie Alley is a really cute Vulcan and William Shatner is the coolest Captain/Admiral. I loved the gross scene with the ear worms and the idea of Project Genesis. There really isn’t much to hate about this movie, it exceeds the previous film on every level and is just as good as the new reboot films in my opinion. Not as flashy of course, but very well done. Khan may look like an 80’s hair band rock star, but he’s one of the deadliest foe’s Kirk’s crew has ever faced. Let this film transport you into the wonderful world Gene Roddenberry has created for us, it’s pretty amazing.
