Poltergeist (1982)

There isn’t a ghost of a chance that you anybody should skip this classic. They’re here! I thought this movie was pretty awesome. My main complaint I can give this film is that the parents seemed pretty cool with living with ghosts, like they had sugar ants instead or something. I know it’s California and people are chill there, but when you can’t put a kitchen chair in a certain spot without it sliding across the room you’ve got problems. Still, I loved the special effects, it has some good scares (I really really hate clowns and I’m terrified by them) and I liked Craig T. Nelson and the little girl Carol Anne. Did I mention I liked the special effects? Yes, they are awesome. The scene where the guy peels his own face off in the mirror is horrifying. Watch this if you haven’t seen it, other movies pale in comparison.

88/100
