Hold all my calls. This film was quite strange. First, I must say that Maggie Gyllenhaal was so different in this film. She was kind of girly and bubbly, which she usually doesn’t act like that. She’s normally this really self-assured woman. Don’t even get me started on James Spader in this movie, he was WEIRD. That’s what makes this movie kind of fun, it’s just so strange. It’s not an awesome movie, but it has some unique scenes and writing that mirrors but predates Fifty Shades of Grey. The ending happens really quickly and the movie felt a little unfinished, but it did keep my attention just due to its strange story line.
