This movie puts the campy into camping. Well, the whole thing wasn’t campy but I did find some moments in it pretty strange like the end of the world scenario by the geeks and the ability of white water rafts to stay perfectly still for hours at the top of a waterfall. This movie really has an amazing cast like Molly Shannon, Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, Marguerite Moreau (hooray Mighty Ducks!), Christopher Meloni, Amy Poehler and Elizabeth Banks. So with such a veritable buffet of comedians this movie should have been perfect and yes it had some perfect moments like Meloni’s conversations with a can of mixed vegetables and Paul Rudd dumping children on the side of the road for seeing too much. I did laugh quite and bit and had a really good time. I’m looking forward to the Netflix show based off this. Grab your twenty-sided die and some sunscreen and be transported back to the 80’s for some summer camp goofiness. You’ll have some fun with this film.
