Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)

If only I knew how to spend my days off like this. Ferris Bueller is the King of cutting class. Matthew Broderick does a good job bringing this adorable slacker to life. I think this movie is worth taking note that sometimes taking life too seriously and living a dour existence isn’t the way to go and could lead you to actually being sick most of the time. I love how Bueller sets up intricate lies to get out of school and have all his bases covered. Back in the 80’s with the use of two working phone lines you could lead anyone to believe anything. Alan Ruck and Mia Sara were great companions to Ferris on his day off. I love the scene with Ruck and the red Ferrari. I laughed so hard at many of the parts of this film and it just seemed so fun. Just remember that clammy hands are the key to getting away with being sick, just don’t fake a fever or you might spend your day at the Doctor’s office, and that’s worse than being stuck at school or work. Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
