Bubba Ho-Tep (2002)

Whoa, mama! This movie had me all shook up. This movie about Elvis and John F. Kennedy who are now living in a nursing home in East Texas and they have come across a unique foe, a Mummy. Yeah, this movie is as weird as it sounds. I watched this a long time ago and thought this movie was mostly a comedy, but now that I’ve watched this again, it’s quite a bit more serious than I remember. Sure, I did laugh a lot, but they do try to be serious here and there through the film. Bruce Campbell thrives in roles like this, campy and fun. It’s not perfect as a comedy or a sci-fi/horror, but is really fun. It’s no Evil Dead, but it is Bruce Campbell vs. the dead. Look into it, baby.
