Labyrinth (1986)

She went to Jareth’s… Jennifer Connelly reminds me of the babe, because she’s absolutely beautiful in this movie. Labyrinth is one of those films that will always stick with you. It’s funny, endearing and just an excellent fantasy/adventure. David Bowie is not only an amazing singer but one of the strangest casting choices for a Goblin King, and yet it works. Just don’t stare at his pants too long, ick. Jim Henson showed how much of a genius he is in this film, his puppets were so lifelike at times, I was especially impressed with how alive their eyes looked. The music was so fun and all the characters were so different and cool. This film belongs to be put lovingly on your collector’s shelf, just don’t let it fall into the bog of eternal stench, because it’s way too good for that.

89/100
