Probably only about 9 ways to die in the west… This film has a fun title, but I was a little underwhelmed by the whole experience. First off, I think Seth MacFarlane should stick to voice-acting. He just doesn’t have the whole acting thing down. Within the first few minutes of the film, I found myself cringing when MacFarlane was trying to show his “I love you face” to Amada Seyfried and it looked like he was having stomach trouble ala Kristen Stewart. Some of the jokes were funny and others took the path of least resistance and went to potty humor or racist jokes which I didn’t find as funny. Giovanni Ribisi stole the show, while Liam Neeson probably shouldn’t have tarnished his reputation being in this film. Neil Patrick Harris as the bad guy was interesting, but he also wasn’t as funny. Sarah Silverman was just as gross as usual, I don’t really enjoy her style of humor. If you liked Ted, you’ll probably like this too. I sort of hated Ted so this movie was only a slight improvement over that.
