This should be titled “Locke(d) in a Car”, as the whole film takes place in a pretty nice BMW. Tom Hardy plays the part of Ivan Locke, a man who is haunted by a terrible father, takes a long car ride towards London. Why is he going to London? Well, he made one big mistake and he’s going to do the right thing. This is one movie I can get behind. Yes, it does take place in just his car for the entire movie, but that’s OK… the dialogue is gripping at times and I just love his character. With so many male characters being put in the (idiot, jerk) category, it was refreshing to see someone pull off the impossible and have some morals and stick-to-itiveness. This film may not be for everyone, but I loved the acting of Hardy and like I said, a character that has a solid moral compass, even if he made some mistakes in life.
