Ida is a beautifully shot film it’s just too bad the film strings you along on this journey to find her parents just to have a very cliche and predictable ending. I loved how nice this looked in black and white and the shots they took were really good. I even liked some of the music with some great saxophone playing scenes. I just really didn’t connect with the characters and just ended up being disappointed with Ida in the end. I would like to see Agata Trzebuchowska in more films though, she’s beautiful. Hopefully next time she’ll be in a film that can showcase her with a little more emotion instead of hiding behind her habit.
