Tender Mercies (1983)

A very tender film starring Oscar-winning Robert Duvall (who won an Oscar for this film) and written by Oscar-winning writer Horton Foote (who also won an Oscar for this film). It has all the right parts for a great film. Duvall is amazing in this and it has a very nice and tender story of a musician past his prime. Tess Harper has a good role in this as does Ellen Barkin. Shot in the middle of nowhere in Texas, this film has some really good country music that Duvall actually sings. Check this one out. It’s really good albeit, not the most exciting movie ever. I still liked it though.
