What should have fired me up, left me cold. Heat had some good moments, especially when Pacino and DeNiro were face to face but then the rest of the movie happens. This movie is almost 3 hours long and you will feel it. The movie just goes on and on, when you just want it to stop. Every once in a while a nice scene is peppered in and then you deal with Natalie Portman, stealing the show again with her drama that she brings to every film unnecessarily (See Thor 2). The whole Val Kilmer plot should still be on the cutting room floor… and really, please do a special cut that only makes this an hour and a half. I could see myself giving this a perfect score with a much shorter film to deal with.
