L.A. Confidential (1997)

It’s no secret that many people love this movie. I know why. It is a very gritty film and is very well cast. I could list off a multitude of actors that impressed me, but just look at the all-star cast list and just know that they all did very well. My main problem with this film was that sometimes it was hard to follow. There was a ton of name dropping throughout the movie and I felt like I was spending most of the time piecing together who they were talking about. It’s not a huge thing, but it does take away from the enjoyment. All I know is, I can see why this movies was well received. The good guys are really good, the bad guys are really bad. The women are 1950’s classy and gorgeous. Oh and it just reeks of political drama that will have you hooked, just bring out your detectives flip-pad to take down notes when the name dropping begins.

84/100
