Sliding Doors (1998)

In one universe I remembered to write this on time and in this current one that I’m in, I’m writing it about a month late. This movie has an interesting concept. Can your life completely change by whether you catch your subway car on time or if you miss it? This romantic film touches on the idea of fate and timing. Gwen Paltrow is a likable enough heroine of this tale, her accent isn’t great but she is pretty and fun to watch. John Hannah steals the show with how charming he is to young Paltrow. I loved the concept, it was pretty unique for a Romantic film, it was almost bordering on science fiction. It isn’t great all the time, with some slow scenes that could have been left out of any universe’s timeline. I honestly watched this because of the show Psych. They did an homage episode to this film.

75/100
