Being John Malkovich (1999)

Malkovich is a stitch! This was my first time seeing this film and I must say I was impressed! The movie itself is very odd. John Cusack works on the seventh and a half floor in an office building as a filer. He used to be a failed puppeteer. He discovers a secret door behind a filing cabinet that lets you into John Malkovich’s mind for 15 minutes and then dumps you onto the side of the road near the Jersey Turnpike. Cameron Diaz plays Cusack’s animal obsessed wife. She blew me away in this because her hair and makeup was so bad that I didn’t even know it was her until halfway through the film. She did a good job acting in this as well, I guess when she doesn’t have to be the “pretty girl” her acting talent has to step up. Catherine Keener is amazing in this as well, she plays the movie’s sexy temptress. John Malkovich plays himself and does an excellent job, this is my favorite movie of his. The movie just has such a weird sci-fi element to it that it should keep your attention. I loved it!
