The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009)

Terry Gilliam’s imaginarium was in full swing for this film. I can’t say I loved this, but I can’t discount the fact that it intrigued me. The set designs at times beat out Tim Burton films and it out-wierds David Lynch at times too. Lily Cole was the biggest surprise for the film, as she is as beautious as she is interesting to watch. This is one of my favorite Andrew Garfield films. Finally, it needs to be said that this was Heath Ledgers final film, he was pretty good in it, but since his life was cut short before the film was done being made, it leaves you yearning for more. The addition of Depp, Farrell and Law to cover for Ledger was neat though. It’s worth watching a few times, to see if you can squeeze some understanding out of it. Very interesting.

72/100
