Batman & Robin (1997)

Batman & Robin is cool as ice. The set pieces and costumes are totally slick. Uma Thurman sparkles like a snowflake as she breezily takes on George Clooney and Chris O’Donnell. I’ve seen ice sculptures that had more acting skill than Clooney in this film, in fact, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s performance was so much better, he leaves Clooney out in the cold. I hate to give Alicia Silverstone the cold shoulder, but she was awful. Between her weird facial expressions and bad line delivery, it seems like she was just trying to skate by in this role. Joel Schumacher should be cryogenically frozen and shot into the frozen depths of space for his terrible direction. Still, this movie had excellent ice puns, two cool characters (Freeze and Ivy) and a few laughs to boot. As long as you chill and don’t get too frosty, you’ll have some fun with this. It was ice to see this again!
