This movie is far from perfect. It’s also quite depressing. Watch in awe as young girls get hit, or molested, screamed at and living in terrible situations. Then sit back and relax while the girls plot the murder of their own mother. Watch more of them falling apart and getting drunk and high. The entertainment value is very low, as will be your spirits. I did think for the most part, the two sisters worked well together. Breslin had some really bad moments of acting that made me cringe worse than when she was binging on booze. Also, some of the technical elements of the film were quite interesting like when they imagine different mothers or are seeing the many deaths of their mom in their heads. This is hardly worth anyone’s time. I’d skip it.
