Reservoir Dogs (1992)

Tarantino’s reservoir of male talent comes from this film. You see a lot of familiar faces from other Tarantino films when you watch this heist gone wrong. The movie is awfully simplistic in terms of settings (basically a café and a warehouse) and plot (a heist goes wrong, and they have to find the rat). The dialogue is what really shines. Tarantino’s writing is fun to listen to when it’s spoken by such talented actors. Tim Roth, Steve Buscemi, Harvey Keitel and Michael Madsen are all fantastic in this. Sometimes I feel like it’s a bit crass and overly violent but then I listen to the words being spoken and fugetaboutit.

88/100
