47 Ronin (2013)

I thought this was decently entertaining, not so much that I would watch it 47 times… but I did like it. Yes, Keanu Reeves is in this and he knows Kung Fu. As we have all heard by now. This time he takes up the Samurai blade. I like that he was the strong silent type in the film so he didn’t have to deliver too many lines, doing action and being quiet is Keanu’s bread and butter. You can tell a lot of love and money went into the sets and costumes. The special effects were also really neat. There are some slow, dry parts to the film, but if you enjoy cool feudal Japanese action with magic and demons then you’re in luck! If you aren’t into that, then I’d say still take a chance on it if you are bored.
