The Book Thief (2013)

I’m going to have to steal the book that this movie was based on from my wife. The Book Thief is an excellent war-time drama, that skips all the bloody scenes and missing limbs and focuses on families. I loved that we got a glimpse of Germany not through the eyes of soldiers or the Jewish people, but through the eyes of a young girl living amongst the Nazis. There are many touching and beautiful scenes and the ending is spectacular. Sophie Nelisse is one of my new favorite child actors, great job!

98/100
